TABLETOP DECOR: watch segment here.
1. Elevate your candy presentation: literally! Use glass canisters at varying heights filled with candy or snacks to catch revelers’ attention. It’s nice to also have non-candy options: stickers, erasers, Halloween-themed pencils.
2. Glowy Lights: I love using candelabra for a gothic feel, and these LED powered ones because kids are always running around and it makes your presentation fire-safe.

Black Metal Haunted House Tealight Luminary, from $9.99, worldmarket.com (use an LED candle tealight for a soft, filtered light in place of a candle.)
3. DIY: Black Floral Arrangement So easy, yet dramatic! I took one bunch of stems of a black flower bundle (the glitter spider and lace-wrapped pumpkin were part of it!) from the arts and crafts store and separated the branches. Popped in some black stones from the Dollar Store, and a mason jar I had (you could also use an old flower vase.) Place in an unexpected space: I have mine up in the bathroom, or a kitchen sill.
PARTY EATS: watch segment here.
4. Apple “Nachos” These are all over Instagram. Thinly slice apples fanned out on a plate—I used Fuji apples but Granny Smith are also great!—with swirls of caramel, milk chocolate, and chopped up chocolate bars and nuts of choice. This is like a deconstructed caramel apple: messy to eat, but delicious!
5. Boo-tiful Snack Platter: aka Boo board, lots of small Halloween-themed snacks, candies and savories! Add some googly eyes for added impact - opt for edible eyes for a younger set.

6. DIY Skeleton-on-a-Stick Snacks
To cake pop sticks, spray non-stick spray and slide on marshmallow with painted skeleton or monster face; use food dye and a small brush to paint on face. Attach yogurt pretzel “bones” to stick using small amounts of melted chocolate. Allow to dry, and lay flat for serving.

A little construction paper, glue stick and tape, and you have juice boxes gone batty! Tip: make sure to remove straws and have handy for kids to be able to actually drink the juice!
